Three wire kits are mainly used in surveillance and close protection situations. The microphone, PTT and speaker functions are each assigned a separate wire which provides maximum flexibility to the end user.

Compatibility and mixed radio platforms is always an issue with large organizations, even small. McKay’s have developed a system where our accessories are fully generic. With the addition of a McKay RI series interface cable it allows any of our Plug & Play accessories to be used with any radio platform. This is as easy as unplugging the connector and plugging in another for a different radio.

This unique system also allows Dealers to stock McKay RI cables for many different radio platforms and several different kits to adapt. This assists greatly with stock control and compatibility.

All of these accessories are fitted with our poly urethane heavy duty cables. We also have models available that are compatible with our inductive loops and wireless earpieces.

The model 3WFL three wire kit offers greater flexibility for covert operations. The receive audio is via a 3.5mm MONO connector which is compatible with our range of receive only kits and also our inductive loop or pad. This accessory is also compatible with our range of Plug & Play accessories. This kit is also available in Beige colour.
