This flashlight is better than I could have hoped. Four lighting modes give you four lights in one and the 630 lumen strobe is so bright I could use it to power my own rave party.
These lights are on a par with the more expensive brands as far as quality is concerned but for price they leave the others for dead.
I've tried a few different flashlights up till now but I think from now on I won't look any further than Fenix.

I got my TK40 and i was not prepared for the power of this unit. The footpath was almost to bright for my eyes on the 'turbo setting'. It has some grunt.
It is more brighter than a car headlight by far. We did a bush walk last night and the TK40 was in its element. I have had specialist flashlights over the years but never held a beast such as this unit.
Most advertising today usually over rates their products ,,, but,,, NOT THIS COMPANY!! NO WAY!! They have a winner. Buy one today. THis Torch is exceptional in all areas of production. Fenix is for me from now on.

At last - the perfect flashlight! |

The instant I got the TK40, I ordered another one – it is that good.
All design is a compromise; to maximise one capability you have to give up on others. Sometimes you come across a balance that is perfect and the Fenix TK40 for me is just that - perfect.
What I want for all round use is: compact size but not fiddly, extreme power OR long burn time when I need it, commonly available batteries, cheap to run, and no maintenance (leave it in the car for a year and it still works).
Unbelievably, the TK40 with modern low-discharge NiMh or Alkaline AA’s satisfies ALL of these. At first I simply could not believe how much light it put out and how high quality the beam was; almost identical in size and brightness to my Halogen 75W spotlight at 1/5th the weight and yet runs almost 3 times as long. It picks out a white painted bridge from the background at 321m (1028ft)!
It oozes the quality of a prestige product.
It is for me, at long last, the perfect flashlight.

I got mine yesterday! There should be a warning label on this product, or maybe you have to have a weapons licence to carry it becuase this thing is the brightest flashlight I have ever come across! I have owned numerous flashlights in my time and the last thing I needed was another flashlight, this is definately not just any other flashlight - Powerful yes, lightweight and well designed yes, features yes! It is about the size of a 2 cell Maglite, sits comfortably in the hands and has 8 different outputs - what more can I ask for ... nothing!
