Awesome High Power torch! July 28, 2010

I chose it over the TK40 which uses the same emitter as it uses 18650 lithium batteries which operate in cold conditions.  Furthermore this unit is significantly lighter than the TK40, and the narrow handle allows me to fit the TK30 on a standard duty belt torch holster (whereas the TK40 is too heavy and wide).

I had to get used to the twist brightness adjustment - coming from the LED Lenser range, however it offers many more settings and means you cannot accidentally strobe someone.

Build quality is superb (hard anodised in a similar league to Led Lenser, and feels a lot more sturdy) -  the brightness is unmatched as Led Lenser do not have any other units as bright or compact for this price!

Also comes with some accessories which I thought were a nice touch - lanyard, spare rubber click switch and o rings, and also a little magnetic disc which can be used if you buy unprotected 18650 batteries.
