I am a shire ranger in Northern outback Western Australia and I bought these gloves for protection from animal bites. Recently I had to deal with a full size female kangaroo that was injured by a fence. I normally deal with dogs but at times other animals. When roos are stressed they shut down and lay on thier stomachs and eject thier offspring. I had to lift the roo and put her in my truck. At this time she got frightened and started biting into my arm. I was wearing the gloves and luckily for me, she bit into the forearm protection. No glove for animal control is 100% bite proof, but this product serves a good purpose. I have used this product when handling injured cockatoos as well. I would recommend this product for a different use than cell extraction as in animal control without hesitation. The gloves haven't been tested on dogs yet, but I'm sure that time will come soon
