First Quality Construction features include full grain leather and 1200 denier nylon uppers with high abrasion and slip-resistant non-marking dual density outsoles. The parts you can't see are equally important: non-metallic shanks, dual-density ball and heel cushion, and Converse Shock Eliminator technology that lets the boots take the pounding, not your feet.

Why you should consider the Converse Composite Toe:
It is difficult if not impossible for someone with severed or crushed toes to stand up, walk or run. If you work in a factory, crushed toes could mean a trip to the hospital. If you work in the military, it could be worse. Soldiers generally avoid safety toe boots because they are heavy and uncomfortable on long marches. Converse Composite Safety Toe boots are different. Made of non-ferrous elastomeric material Converse Composite Safety Toe are lightweight and comfortable, yet test as strong as steel. They also do not rust; conduct heat, cold, or electricity; or activate metal detectors.

Excellent boots, Spent over 24h on the first day in these boots, very comfortable, great ankle support, might be a bit tight for some, tested in high grease areas and very limited slip compared to swats, non metallic - tested through screening points and by metal detector, excellent grip, excellent shock absorption in heal, excellent wet weather grip even on marble floors, great boots for all occasions, static and patrols. Everything fits in according to the description. Swats were a bit more breathable due to less leather but by no way comfortable as Converse.  I will be buying these boots from now on.

These boots are great.
Lightweight, very comfortable cushioning and have exceptional tread.
If your job requires excursions into uneven terrain in the dark, then think of these boots.
