I was very impressed with its modern and multifunctional design. 5.11 calls it a serious tactical briefcase and I tend to believe them. The bag has 5 large exterior pockets that are designed to hold everything from your radio to your flashlight. There is even a spot to hold your baton. The bag's dimensions are 18.5" wide X 8" deep X 12" tall allowing the user to comfortably store clip boards, maps, paperwork or even a thermos. The bag is water-resistent and built out of denier nylon. There is a spot to store several pens and a clip for your car keys. The inside of the bag has 2 dividers, one that runs the length of the bag and a smaller one that cordins off a small section for smaller items. The inside also has 2 small size zipper pouches to store additional items. The "Patrol Ready" bag also comes with a comfortable strap so you can easily carry it from place to place. I used the patrol bag for a month while on patrol and found it to be a helpful tool in storing all my loose equipment and clip boards in my patrol vehicle. I found I wasn't searching around for items, I knew exactly where to find them in my bag. I recommend this bag to all patrol officers / sergeants who work the road on a daily basis.

I have tried in the past to condense everything into one bag without success, until now. With outside measurements of 18.5” wide x 8” deep x 12” tall, it is big. There are five outside pockets and three on the inside of the zip closure top along with three pen pockets. Plus the large main compartment is supplied with two adjustable, Velcro dividers. I was able to find a place for everything I take on patrol. My inventory is as follows: 2 aluminum ticket books (traffic and Non traffic) Aluminum clipboard Vehicle code Multi-county Street Map book Four file folders with Departmental forms i.e. “lock out release form” State and Local Accident report forms Accident diagram templates Spring loaded center punch Three flex cuffs Dictionary Raincoat and hat cover Digital camera Binoculars Five rounds of 12Ga, beanbag rounds 4 oz bottle of antiseptic hand cleaner Spare sunglasses Inspection sticker scraper Pliers/wire cutters/multi tipped screwdriver with large assortment of tips For me the advantage of having all the pockets is in knowing right where to look for something. The bag is well made with high quality materials. The shoulder strap has one of the widest pads that I have seen.
